Does anyone know if the Okidata 180 can work with the Amiga? It has an EPSON emulation & since it can work on the IBM also it has a parallel port I notice in the Amiga Book it says that the 192 & the 92 have 2 versions & that you can use the MPS 1000 driver for the IBM side of them. To use the 292 as a color printer use the Epson JX-80. Now my printer book says that you CANT use the microline okidata's drivers since they use different codes. Any help would be appreciated! Ena P.S. the 180 is a fairly new printer that can be used on serial commodores (ie the 64/128) or IBM's and compats. Nothing mentioned about Amiga.

Ena, Without actualy trying the printer I can't give you a 100% answer, but I can give you a 99% answer that yes, you can use your Oki on an Amiga. If it can emulate and Epson…you simply use the Epson driver that comes with the Amiga and set your printer to emulate an Epson. Or, if you prefer to emulate an IBM printer (presuming the Oki can do that also…the only difference being in the graphic characters) then set your Oki to IBM emulation and use the MPS_1000 driver. Don
