#Bad cell

Shalom – That was an easy one to find. The reflective values on the IRIS
and Pupil, caused them to reflect back the Blue in the sky. I simply
selected the entire object, and set the reflective values of all sliders to
0, with out touching any of the other properties, and it rendered just fine
iin Full Trace mode. The filter values of the pupil remained unchanged. I
am assuming the same is true for the Head object. But I'll try it just to
make sure. I have also found that you might want to also run the object
through the "Point Reduce Tool" in interchange when bringing stuff over
from SC3D or SC4D, It seems to make a cleaner image.
Stan, Thanks for checking it out. If you select a face of the iris and
click on color in the attributes requester you will get blue. If you then
choose the object and click on color you will get white. Now, re-choose a
face of the iris and the color requester will return a white color, not
blue as before.
With regard to the filter properties, I will recheck what the original
objects values were before they were copied into another script, as I don't
believe I would have changed the reflective or filter sliders for the
faces.
By the way I did run the object thru the point reduction program and I
think the head looks a bit smoother because of it.
Did the eye animation get uploaded successfully?
Shalom – Ah Ha! Remember to keep in mind, that when you go back into
object mode, and select the color option, as the first main color for the
object was white, the selector remains white. The minute you click the
close box YOU HAVE THEN TURNED THE WHOLE OBJECT TO WHITE!. in order to not
affect changes, you need to use one of the escape keys. This will let you
out with out re-writing the cell file to disk. You could also enter the
cell using the "View" command then no changes you make will have any
affect.
Call me if you are still having problems. BTW the Eye animation hasn't
made it to the library yet. . Stan Kalisher (Impulse)
