I'm having a small problem with Turbo and IFF brush mapping, and I'm wondering if you might be able to tell me what I'm doing wrong. I have a logo that I'd like to map onto a sphere and then rotate the sphere. I've got the brush assigned to an axis and that axis grouped and clustered to the sphere, but when the sphere rotates, I get both the normal brush image and, 180 degrees later, a mirror image of the brush. I've tried most everything I can imagine, but can't see what to do to delete the mirror image. Thanks for an amazing product!

Keith – I sounds as if the axis you assigned for the brush, is not large enough. You sould make sure that you make the axis size at least as large as the sphere. If it is smaller, the brush will repeat.

Thanks, I'll try that, actually I'll try making the brush axis larger than the sphere, as I'm sure the axis size I chose was the same size as the major and minor size of the sphere. Am I correct in assuming that the only two aspects of the axis I need to concern myself with are the x and z axes?

Keith – Yup! the "Z" and "X" are the only axis' which pertain to brushes. <–Stan

Stan, this is the same problem I was having with my text ball. I made the axis larger and this changed the mapping onto the ball, but I still got the mirror image on the back of the ball. In the end I had to scrap the idea, but would like to revive it if you can find the problem.

Some of these kinds of problems are a little difficult to solve here on the network or by phone. The best thing is to either upload the cell and brush with some instructions here – make sure you put in the description that the file is for us only, and it will get put into an area where I can get it, but the general public can't, or send me the cell, script, and brush on disk. I should be to make it work for you.
