Judging by the expressions on the faces of the people watching the
monitors, that gymnast demo sold more Amigas than any number of
commercials. It was well worth the month Mr. Landis spent on it.
That's good news to hear. It's interesting that when we were showing at
SigGraph, the most heard comment from the "throng" after they saw Amigas
across from Pixar and Silicon Graphics, was that the Big guys 'stuff costs
in some cases 50 times as much as Amiga gear, but sure didn't yield 50
times the performance. It's been a slow grueling process, but it sure
looks to us like the Amiga is finally gaining some real respect in the
Graphics community.
Marv is one of those rare folks who sure has a wonderful grasp on working
in a 3D enviornment. He cranks out some beautiful stuff. (I'd love to
have him doing demo's for us too!). <–Stan
