Hi there all. This message is a bit of a shot in the dark, I'll admit! I own an Amiga 2000 and work for a small computer graphics firm in Toronto, Canada. At work we're using IRIS 4D workstations and Alias software, and it's very nice! I've just preached the gospel of telecommunications to the owners and they're fifinally installing a modem. What I want to get into is using the Amiga as a front end for the IRIS's, and before I go off re-inventing the wheel I thought I'd just check to see if any other Amiga user's are in the same boat and have any suggestions and/or PD software they may wish to impart. Also, since the IRIS personal workstations have been introduced the user base is bound to expand so anyone who is looking for pix translators between the IRIS & Amiga in the future may want to check back with me – I should have a small toolset within the next year. Otherwise, I'd be interested to hear from any Amigaphile who is using IRIS's just for conversation! Bye for now… J.C.

Give me a call at (608) 257-3954, anytime after noon in the Midwest. I'm from Syndesis, a company that makes 3D software utilities, especially conversions. I'm sure we'll have a few things to talk about!

Hi, John. I'm familiar with your company(you put out Interchange, don't you?), and I'll give you a buzz in the near future. We're about to start work on a video piece for a modelled building that's about the size and detail of St. Paul's Cathedral, so things have suddenly got very busy! Wouldn't want to see THAT model in Sculpt-3d format!

John, Thanks for the first and last name! And all this time, I thought the only name you had was "Syndesis"! 😉 Betty
