Yes, as far as I'm concerned, the "hacker" approach to anything always produces far more ingenious results. One or two people, sitting up late at night for months, usually produce far more innovative demos than professional designers, who get paid for this stuff, do. I have used SA3D all this past summer, and have produced some nice (not spectacular) animations with it. I'm interested in Silver, but before I run out and purchase a copy, could you answer a few questions: First off, what does it do that SA3D doesn't? I'd rather not buy a software package that does exactly what I can do already. Second, are objects created with SA3D interchangable with objects created with Silver and vice versa? Last (for now), what kind of animations does Silver produce? One thing I dislike about SA3D is that it doesn't produce true IFF animations, which means I cannot incorporate my anims into my Director shows (because the Director will only show IFF anims). Unless I've misread the instructions for both packages… I know these are probably common questions that I could have found out had I paid more attention to the forum messages, but Christmas is coming, and Santa has promised me software….
