First let me say that I am a BIG Amiga fan. I sold them for the better paRT of three years, and was the first in New Orleans to have one. My fulltime job is graphic design and animation on the Amiga. Now that I have that out of the way, let me say this about AutoDesk Animator. I own the product. I also own EVERY animation program on the Amiga. AA is much more than a souped up animator or Zoetrope. With its cell animation options, titling, and painting features it's better than a large share of Amiga graphics programs. The price is fairly reasonable too, only $300. Another thing about AA is the fact that it is really the first program of it's type for The IBM. I remembere the first Amiga animation programs and they weren't this good. Don't get me wrong I still think that an Amiga with DPIII and a good titler is the way to go…BUT it was'nt too long ago that the IBM had 320,200 res graphics in 4 colors. Now their graphics are 320,200 with over a quarter of a million colors. Today Amiga is king, but they seem to be resting on their past accomplishments. If they dont' offer better resolotion and more colors and better speed, they are going to wake up and find themselves behind. I hope this stimulates some replys. -DAVE-
