When you use public domain programs instead of the standard Workbench and CLI,
you're opening yourself up to trouble. It's very difficult to write
installation scripts that work with every combination of PD programs. Did you
try removing your old PPage before you installed? Did you write-protect the
disks before you started? If you're really unhappy, you can send your update to
me, if you like. I haven't got it yet. – John
Well I might agree on the install scripts and non-CBM, PD utilities if I
hadn't just used WordPerfect's install procedure without a hitch. Another
reasonable option is an executable file like that used to install ARP in
the first place. (hmmmmm maybe WP's was this sort of thing rather than a
script. Both of these worked as advertised without a hitch for me right
"out of the box". Just some thoughts…
