No, I had never tried VD0 w/ the spirit board. I did try the old version be4 I
got the board (lack of memory…wasnt worth using).
The RAD, when I use it, gets stomped probably 10-15% of the time. (Usually the
serious crashes…ya know, the ones where NOTHING happens)
Perry, if you can make a VD0 that disables the mem test on warm boots and
remain expandable/contractable upon demand, I would PAY for it. RAD is an
"ignorant" tool. Its fixed, constant, never to change once mounted. Annoys
the heck out of me.
Anyway, thanks for the note. BTW, what does ASDG make in the HD area for
those of us with 1000's? I've been interested, but the cost of setting a 1000
up seems to make a 2500 '030 appealing (grin). With all the different
interfaces, controllers, and HDs out there, finding the right combo can be a
lot of homework. (What I'm looking for is at least 48meg, autobooting($$s
there), and perferably DMA. Oh, and no st506.)
