I have a copy of the LANC specs. To obtain it I had to write Sony technical
support a letter stating why I wanted it and then had to wait 6 weeks while the
request was sent to Japan for approval. I can answer specifc question about
the LANC interface for you but can't post the general doc.
Generally, the LANC interface is a 2 wire bidirectional serial interface
running at 9600baud with hardware collision detection. Although I've not
assembled an interface, I priced out parts at the local electronics store at
about 10.00 to make an interface between LANC and a standard RS-232 port. Of
course, I don't know for sure if it will work. If you like, I'll E-Mail you a
