Does anyone know if Quicktime for Windows can read Mac Quicktime files and
export .avi files? Or is there another way I can convert Mac Quicktime to
.avi?

My book "How to Digitize Video" comes with a CD-ROM that includes a Windows
utility that converts QTW<>AVI without recompression as long as the source and
target codecs are the same (basically Cinepak or Indeo). You should be able to
find it in bookstores or you can order it directly at (415) 398-9957. The CD
also has a runtime verstion of QTW 1.1.1 which includes a simple QTW player
program. If you want to get the QTW2 runtime here on CIS, just GO QTIME (and
get charged ten bucks).
