I just have to jump in here… the Syncman plus does convert MTC to SPP and does very good job aat that. I haven't put a lot of miles on the combo yet, but my experimenting with B&P has been successful. Mostly I prefer to use MTC, but I bought the Syncman plus so I could use it with Dr.T's. Dr.T seems to think that because they are the laargest MIDI/AMIGA player they can write the rules. Phantom is a perfect example of this mentality, as is ther MPE. I am not saying that MPE and Phantom aren't good products, it just annoys me a bit that the AMIGA MIDI vendors will not work together to give us what we deserve, a MIDI platform that simply makes all others obsolete. The AMIGA is still the only personal computer that multi-tasks, aand for those who think the others do, true multi-tasking requires inter-process communications, so the statement stands! With multi-tasking, and IPC, it is possible to run to sequencers, feed the ouptutof B&P to PVG or M for processing, feed a sequencer to Copyist for scoring, use and share, multiple MIDI ports so that ll time related stuff is on one cable, synths and whatever are on other cables… MIDI heaven! This is why I bought, and stuck with, the AMIGA, and when any vendor tries slow this process I get a bit frustrated. Dr.T's makes some fine products, I love KCS, though I seldom use it for 'tracking' anymore. It is still the most powerful and dlexible sequencer available for the Amiga. I also like B&P and Music-X a lot, and use them heavily. I recently saw a demo of Tigre Cub, and I think it could be an excellent starter program. And the copyist is simply brilliant! But I do wish the good Dr was a bit more of a team player. They may have the best system around with MPE and Phantom, nd if they do I hope CBM standardizes it, but in the meantime I wish all the vendors would work together a little closer! ..Bill
