Is anybody here that can help me with a slight problem? I have an AMIGA 500 and am using JRCOMM Modem software. I can't open the printer nor can I down load any files. I am very new at this and am getting more frustrated by the minute. My disc was co pied by my dealer to start me off—no instructions. please I am getting desparate… martin

Martin, I don't use JRComm, so you will have to find the settings on it, but here is what you need to do in order to download: Set your term program for 8 bits, No parity, 1 stop bit. This will be under serial settings menu, I would imagine. Set your protocols for B+. Go to the library from which you want to download, and find the program you want. At the end of the description, you will see "Disposition!" At that prompt, type DOW PROTO:B+ (That is short for Download, Protocol:B+) At that point, you will be asked for the name for your computer, and you type both the path and the name, such as DF1:NEWFILE.LZH The CIS computer should then start sending to your computer. At the end of the transfer, you will need to unpack the file with the LHARC program, LHARC.EXE, which you can find in Library 5 of AMigaUser. If you need more help, please ask. Betty

Betty, Thanks a whole bunch. I'm not sure how to "unpack", as you put it but I'm going to try. This could be an opening as far as building a library. I'll talk to you later. Again…..Thanks MARTIN
