#Sampling Sequencing

What kind of hardware is required for digitizing sounds. I'm intersested
in buying a software package for making them also.
You need a sound sampler (hardware). Most use the parallel port; some use
the 2nd mouse port (Mimetics). Most digitizers (samplers) come with
software of varying quality; AudioMAaster is the best 3rd company software
that I know of. I have a Mimetics sampler for sale. It would include
Mimetics software and even the Mimetics MIDI sequencer. I'd let it go for
about $50. Leave me Email or call at 703-823-6742.
Randy,
Most of the sound samplers come with software to use with them. I use
Perfect Sound hardware and software, although there are others. One reason
that I like Perfect Sound is that it has software level control instead of
a potentiometer. Pots are usually a source of noise, especially when they
get older. A parallel port sampler will give better overall quality than a
joystick port sampler, but, your intended application might indicate that
the joystick port sampler is a better choice.
Although I haven't had the need to use it, I've always heard good things
about Audiomaster III software, in case you decide that the software
supplied with your sampler doesn't completely fill your needs.
Hope this helps. 8)
