Can anyone tell me if I'm stuck with bottom-left as 0/0 origin of the DPaint coordinates system ? Their manual sez its the TOP-left and my new toy, The Director, uses top-left as 0/0 and really wants careful use of coordinates to get images in place… I am already getting pretty sick of doing all that (albeit simple) math in my head… -tnx – da

Daryl, In DPaint III, the coordinate system defaults to top left as (0,0). Refer to pages 219-220 of the manaul for more details. Michael

Michael, HENCE my confusion since my DPAINT III appears to want to use bottom-left as Origin… Is there some startup parameter, switch, menu option to change this or do I have a clunker version or what ? – da

In version 3.21 of Dpaint III in the Prefs menus there is a setting called UL coords I believe. This will give you 0,0 at the upper left corner. p.s. Dpaint III version 3.25 (for WB 2.0, and the Amiga 3000) should be available within the next 6 weeks. Two main changes are: Severe Overscan button gives you the maximum overscan your machine can handle. Disk requesters have been modified to access all mounted devices. Orlando/EA:HQ

Is it still possible to upgrade to Dpaint III from Dpaint II? I never got around to it before… –>Steve Bennett
