Lee, Can you tell me more about how TYMNET works? I'm currently calling a
long distance number which costs about 14 cents a minute after 11 pm. This
comes to around $8.40 an hour plus the CIS charges. Would it be cheaper to
use TYMNET and if so then how do I access this. Can WHAP! access CIS
through TYMNET?

While in CIS check the section that lists CompuServe access numbers. That
will tell you if there is a TYMNET number that is local to you. There is a
surcharge of $2.00 per hour (I think that's right.) for accessing Tymnet.
