#HOW TO WAVE A FLAG?
5 messages in this thread
Suzy….(if I may?)
I am new to alot of this, but I just did a commercial for a client that
used a waving banner. It was a forked on each end flag, with the clients name
in the center.
I created a rectangular forked "trapezoid" and then sliced it. after slice
applied skin. created a 3ds image on red cotton weave cloth, saved as a tga
file, and then used as a material to assign from materials library to the
object.
By adjusting scaling and whatnot, got the image to center up on the skinned
objects.
Manipulating sliced objects, vertices, etc…ended up with a nice wavy
banner.
Since I am jumping in on this late, you may already have a solution, or
have something in mind that is much more suitable….let me know if this is
useful to you.

I don't have the solution yet because all of the solutions including
yours are to complicated (not to me but I need something fast without
a lot of work). I was wandering if you could send me your mesh so I can
take a look at it?
With Thanks Sus.
Sus,
Will send mesh. Sorry about long delay, I was off my system working with
NT and remote connectivity stuff. Thought I would drop you this line first so
you would'nt think I was rude….will get it to you in the next couple of days.
Mason
Thanks Mason.

I'm still waiting… Is there a problem?
