#Broadcast Titler 2.
8 messages in this thread
Received the new Version 2.0 of Broadcast Titler (InnoVision) last week. A
very elegant improvement over Ver: 1.0. However…. am having a problem.
This occurs in the "SAVE" portion of the program. At times things go well
and a sequence is saved OK. At other times, perhaps in adding more pages
and saving again, it locks up the Amiga. No way can one use CTRL/ESC to get
out. Neither does a warm re-boot do it. We had to shut off power and try
again. The same thing has happened in trying to save a page as an IFF
picture. The fault seems intermittent and does not happen every session. We
have 9 Megs of memory on board – so it's not starvation.
QUESTION: Have any users of the BT-2 software yet run into similar problems
?
Best regards………. HILARY
I believe under certain circumstances the program may be trying to access
the floppy drive on your machine, even though you are trying to save to the
hard drive. Try having a formatted floppy disk in DF0: when you are saving
and see if that makes a difference. I don't mean you actually have to save
to that disk, just that the program may be looking there as a default.

Pete. No the destination drive is NOT the problem. We use the floppies for
this sort of data. In this case the floppy was df0: As I said, it is an
intermittent problem. For the moment we are saving the file every 5 – or
so "pages". Have written to InnoVision. Will let you know what they
say…. if they ever reply.
All the best. HILARY
Hilary,
I would be very interested in hearing what they say, and how long it takes
them to answer your query.

Will let you know – nothing yet! Hilary
Hilary,
I have also experienced the same problem with saving within BT2 when I boot
from my HD installed BT2. I don't seem to have any problems if I boot off
the BT2 disk and bypass the HD when saving so…..

Yep…. I too have BT-2 on hard disk. Most times it "saves" both Pix and
BT files OK… other times it hangs up. Still have NOT had a reply to by
note to InnoVision. Perhaps they simply don't want to know! The best….
