Here's a few amusing bits on the Continued slow death of an Amiga
Dealership. Camera World's on it's last legs and here's a doozy.
Commedore 1300 genlocks for 189, A1000 256k ram boards for about 200.
and two whole boxfuls of Textcraft selling for 92 cents each still in the
shrinkwrap!
Unfortunately, many bussinesses are on the edge lately. A clone dealer down
the street that I used to work for may have to declare bankruptcy.
You mean the remaining Camera World in NYC? The one who's sister store was
forcibly shut down by the City Of New York?

No, I'm talking about the latter one. Never knew there was more than one.
Right now it's open on a temporary Going Out of Buisness License. They
also have a couple of A1000's still in the original boxes. I wonder if you
buy them now, since they would be "new". Would they be covered by CBM's
one-year warranty? 🙂

If the orginal NYC Camera World had 1000's in original boxes, I'd suspect
that they had trade in 1000's cleaned up in old boxes that they'd found. If
you mean Camera World of Oregon I'd have no idea! At any rate, I wouldn't
count on having a valid warranty enclosed, IMHO.

That could be the case Ron, except that I suspect they never did
trade-ins. The 2000HD that's been on demo is an old nonautobooting machine
and the only controller cards they have is a 2090A. BTW, is it worth
purchasing perhaps for a later tradeup? I doubt it, just wondering. They
do have several AmigaDOS 1.1 Enhancer boxes and quite a few 1300 genlocks,
the only really current stuff is the games software.

Don't buy an antique 2000 to trade up or to upgrade; I don't think the
trade up is likely and the old boxes are harder to upgrade some times.

I wasn't thinkig about it seriously, I was more tempted by the 1000's in
the original boxes (albeit battered boxes). I was irked though when they
asked $400 for the demo 1000 and that didn't include the 256k ram
expansion. They've got a few of the latter still in the box going for the
Going Out of Business price of $189.
