#VD0: and 32 bit memory?

Does VD0: work on an Amiga 3000 with 4 megs of 32-bit fast ram, and
2 meg chip ram? It used to work with 2 megs 16-bit fast ram, but I upgraded
to 4 megs 32 bit and i believe VD0: doesn't work anymore. (I also upgraded
KS, so that may have been the cause as well. I'm not sure)

The ASDG RRD is incompatible with changes made in the way memory is
organized in KS 2.0. It shouldn't be able to work under 2.0 at all.

Hate to burst your bubble but I have been running my asdh rrd (vd0:)
recoverable ram disk under 2.0 on my A3000 with fine results. Just placed
the handler (asdg.vdisk.device) in the devs drawer, made a mountlist entry
and added a mount command to the startup-sequence. I had it installed in
the 1.3 side too but took it out because it kept the stuff in it from the
2.0 side on warm boots, just inconvenient for my application. These 3000'
all act differently, I sometimes think that there are no two alike. By the
way, I am now running the uprade 2.02, if that is of any interest. Oh yeah,
I have 4 meg of fast 32 bit and 2 meg of chip memory too.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I have no problem at all running ASDG RRD on
my a-3000 under either 1.3 or 2.0 dos. I also have a 4 meg 32 bit fast
and 2 meg chip memory machine.

Hmm, welp, it DID work when i had the first version of KS (don't remember
the exact version tho), and the 16 bit memory, though it _did_ slow the
machine down a bit (according to SI2.0)
Any plans to update it for the 3K with WB2.0??

No plans, only pipe-dreams. Updating the RRD is something I would have to
do in my spare time. If, I ever HAD any spare time.

Have you ever thought of having yourself cloned? <grin> I think we need
