$695 is way off list price, which is $1095. At these prices, it will
probably be cheaper for me to buy a new 500C and sell my old 500.

Well, I just called the dealer and they have the Deskjet C in stock, and
the price is $695. Could walk in tonight and get one…. hmmmm.. 🙂
I've seen the DeskWriterC advertised for $1,095, which is the Mac version.
Still don't know what the actual list price of the normal DeskjetC is, but
figure it is less than the Mac version, cause the Deskjet500 is less than
the Mac's DeskWriter.
BTW, this store has new Deskjet500's for $395. Pretty good price. Will
make selling old regular 500's for over $200 pretty chancy, I'd think?

Ahh John, but I'm in Canada! Land of the $599 Deskjet 500's! I should be
able to get $250-300 for my one year-old DJ500. It'll make buying a new
500C much more attractive than upgrading.
