I'm about to embark on a project that will involve low-level SCSI
programming. We're using it to interface two computers together.
I'm looking for advice on resources to do this: Is there a standard
software interface to the SCSI device driver, or is each board's
lowest-level driver different? I recently went through 12 hours of SCSI
hell installing an Adaptec SCSI adapter to install a CD-ROM drive – turns
out I was missing an undocumented switch on the command line for the
lowest-level device driver.
My company would be willing to take on a consultant for this aspect of the
project. If someone knows a good person or company to go to, please drop
me a note here or in Easyplex.
