YAHHOOOO.. Just (finally!) got my 2.04 upgrade running. Whatta pest! I have a 2630, and no rev 6 roms, PLUS a CLtd. Kronos hard disk controller. I had spent about 12 hrs this weekend, getting a config that I would live with. Thanks to SetCPU, and Hazy's note as to how to use it, we are able to use this stuff to the max. Actually, I think I am not going to install the ROM kickstart just yet, even when the 2630 ROMs show up. Why? If I change ROMs, I can only access a 1.3 Kick with the 68030 alive – BUT – most games (the only real reason I would want a 1.3 boot) don't like the '030 anyhoo… Any 2.0 product that can't deal with an '030 is apt to be short lived! BTW – if memory serves, there was a program that let you set the WARN flag in a script, based on whether you hold down a mouse button. (Much nicer for a boot script that is 90% used in one direction.) Does anyone know where this could be found? Sigh… 99% of all that work was just getting a boot-up – the 2.0 update script is 'simply mahhhhvelous…'. Be nice if this becomes the MINIMUM standard for install script/programs.

Dave, you might want to have a look at SS.LZH in Lib 11 here.. it allows you to selectively run or not run a program from you startup-sequence depending on whether a specific key is pressed.
