GVP Scsi HELP!!

I am having a bit of trouble getting my GVP SCSI II with 6megs to
recognize my SLOW SLOW Seagate from a cold boot. I know that GVPscsiCtrl
-r work fine from the cli on a cold boot but when you run it from a warm
boot and the seagate is mounted it will lockup the system.
What I need to know is a way of testing to see if the Seagate is mounted
before using GVPScsiCtrl and skip to the rest of the startup-sequence.
Near the end of your startup sequence (preferably right before the
workbench load) add: RUN >NIL: GvpScsiCtrl -s If this does not work contact
GVP for their latest software. You may want to make note of the autoboot
ROM rev before you call them as, depending on the age they may need to be
upgraded too.

I did call GVP and was told to edit my RDB so my seagate was the last LUN
and put in GVPScsictrl -r in my startup sequence right before it assigns
something to a partition on the Seagate. After doing all the above my
system works fine!!
