I've been "listening" in on many of the adoption discussions in this forum
(I'm new –Hi!) and was wondering why there was not much discussion of the
Fost-Adopt options available in many states.
So often, people think that adopting comes in the form of a newborn. I am a
very happy adoptive parent of a fost-adopt child (she was almost 2 years
old when she came to us) who would not have had much chance for a quality
life with her birth parents.
Shouldn't the option to care for otherwise unwanted children be made more
of an education issue? Any others out there who care to comment? —Linda
