#PLOT SPOOLER SOFTWARE
7 messages in this thread
Can anyone recommend a good plot spooler program that allows you to
continue using ACAD while plotting. Thanx, Al Thompson
Yes! AutoPlot by the SoftWare Machine in Salt Lake City is excel ve three
versions to choose from; ranging from minimal features to a package that
will tell you what to do through the speaker (spoken prompts!). I don't
have their address/phone with me right now but if you can't find it on your
own, let me know.

p.s. typo: that was Software Machine
Craig, Thnx for the info, I will look into it. Al Thompson
Alan,
If you are running in a novell network environment and want to spool plots
and also track time spent on projects and drawings, the best program out
that I have seen is ACS Telecom EDMS 10-Cad. They are located in
California and they sell the applications by the 6-pack. The spooler is
great. They also have a single user version available for stand alone
environments. Phone # 213-325-5055.

Sue, Thanx for your response. I do not run on a network at this time. I
will look into this for a single user station. Thanx, Al Thompson
Al:
CADalyst reviewed all the plot spoolers out there, but it's been a while.
We'll be looking at the latest ones in the March '92 issue.
Besides AutoPlot, which is an excellent program, my company sells two
spoolers that have been around in various versions for a long time. PLUMP
handles a single serial port. PLUMP-Rx does both serial and parallel and can
run two devices concurrently if you wish.
You can contact Eclipse Software/SSC Softsystems at (206) 676-6175. And if
you have any questions, I'm usually here on the Forum several times a day.

Dave, I look forward to the March '92 issue of CADalyst. Thanx, Al Thompson
