#TRANSPARENT PAN PROBLEM

Jake:
Thanks for the input regarding DLP drivers. Actually, we have a nice DLP
with our PCG hi-res cards, but havn't yet waded through getting it all set
up, and getting the operators trained. Nothing like the status quo to avoid
facing up to having to learn something new!!
Thanks….Dan
Dan-
If I may butt in and add a general comment-
I think it should be a goal of ADI drivers to offer a mode where one gains
all the advantages of DLP drivers (speed, avoiding regens completely
without having to use different commands, etc.) without having to learn
anything new, or perhaps even noticing its there (save for perhaps the
Bird's eye looking different than the zoom dynamic display).
I don't want to give up the fancy stuff, but It would be nice to not have to
give new users (to one companies particular setup) training on a particular
DLP driver. (except for having to kick some sense into those idiots that
insist on using ZOOM EXTENTS everytime they want to see the whole drawing
<g> {and no, I'm not kidding! 🙁 } )
(Yes, Jake; I know that your's works in about the same manner as Acad's,
but IT STILL AIN'T AS BIG <g,d&r>.
Actually, version 7 of our DLDs, scheduled for early 1996, will include an
entire ACAD simulator, for that natural feel you've been looking for, but
without the worry of contaminating your existing ACAD users. The only good
ACAD is Safe ACAD<g>
