I agree, the problem for us was that the AutoShade 2 and RenderMAN manual,
does not tell you a great deal about how to get the output, to color
copies eg: calcomp color master, and the local calcomp office thinks there
are some drivers available !

Ian: It looked like AutoShade 1 used painter's algorithm when it generated
the screens, so you had to artificially divide the image into bands to send
to the printer. The new version **seems** to go top down, which would
simplify things considerably. If they could guarentee a top down scan I
wouldn't need the 24 MBy temporary file.
