JUST GO HI DMP 52 PLOTTER (SINGLE PEN). WORKS FINE FOR ABOUT A COUPLE OF
LINES. THEN, GOES IDLE. LAST COUPLE OF LINES ARE STRAIGHT LINES OF
GARBAGE. HAVE R-11; CONFIG AS DMP 52. COM1 PORT. NEED HELP?
That is the classic symptom of a serial handshaking problem. My guess is
that the plotter is not in XON/XOFF mode. See the AutoCAD Installation
Guide under Houston Instrument DMP Series, for the proper cable and
procedure to put the plotter into 9600 baud, 7 bit, even parity, 1 stop,
XON/XOFF mode.
