Hi All, I just posted a GIF of the A1200 add. It looks like a A600 that
has been stretched to fit a A500 keyboard. Other things it has are IDE
drive interface, 14MHZ 68020, fully 32bit datapaths the AGA chipset, a
space for a mathpro ( althogh there is no socket, you can solder one in and
expect it to work ) and it runs WB3.0 More details of this machine are
expected on the 16th of Nov.

You are incorrect in some of the features of the A1200. It uses a
68EC020. As such, it only has a 24 bit address path. It cannot use a
math coprocessor or an MMU.

According to the specs I have on the 68EC020 it _will_ support a math
coprocessor. I don't believe there is one in the standard A1200, but there
is on reason that I know of that one couldn't be added.

Someone on Usenet looked inside an A1200, and says there are surface mount
pads for a math coprocessor. I bet few people add it on their own, tho!

Yeah, the pads are there on the motherboard. The math co-processor can
also be added via the expansion connector on the bottom of the machine.

The EC020 CAN use a math coprocessor. The coprocessor interface was
retained in the EC020.
