When I was sneaking around in this new Library I found the name YOST Group
and more interesting IPAS KIT. Please tell me: who is YOST Group, what is
IPAS KIT and if it is what I think – for heaven sake tell me where I can
get it !!!!!

The Yost group are the author's of Autodesk's 3D Studio and Animator Pro…
the IPAS routines are add on features of 3D Studio which provide custom
animation effects… they are sorta like animation 'shaders' if you're
familiar with Renderman. You will be able to buy the IPAS routines
developed by the Yost group, or buy an IPAS developer's kit and roll your
own. You need a copy of 3D Studio to make use of them, though…

The Yost Group is a small development arm of Autodesk that produces
animation software. IPAS routines are plug-in special effects modules that
can control various aspects of 3D Studio R2 (image processing, procedural
modeling, animated parametric effects, and solid textures). 3DSr2 ships
with 14 IPAS routines, and we're (independently) shipping another 34
starting next week.
The IPAS Kit is a software development kit Autodesk has been working on
that will make it easy for anyone with the Watcom or HighC compiler and
3DSr2 to develop these routines.
