Dwight, Got my drive today. I want to thank you for passing along a great deal. I had already ordered a drive for $150 more, and back-ordered seemingly indefinitely. I thought that there was something wrong with your brain the first time I saw your post! I don't know how Erwin does it, but I'm sure glad you let me know about them. Steve

Steve, I got my drive today also. I have an adaptec 1542 and I can't find a driver for it. Do you know where I can get one? Thanks. Daniel

Daniel, I'm running my drive off the PAS-16 SCSI connector, using the Trantor drivers supplied with the SCSI cable kit purchased from Media Vision. I'd think someone on the forum here could help you out. Why don't you check with one of the Sysops? Good luck with your drive. I don't have any data disks for mine yet, but somehow I just got the Windows Media Player to realize that the drive is there, and am now listening to Steve Winwood jamming. With computers and rock 'n roll, who needs drugs? Steve

Corel and Adaptec both have drivers … you might try the COREL forum.

Albert, I looked in the Corel forum, but I could'nt find drivers for anything, let alone for the Adaptec. But thanks anyway. Daniel

The drivers are free you have to purchase them. I hope I didn't send you down the wrong path. It is just to find out if your equipment is supported by the Corel drivers. You can try the IBM hardware forum since Adaptec reps frequent there from time to time.

Another solution is to contact Adaptec and get their BBS number. Alot of times the manufacturer has a BBS and sticks all their new device drivers out there.
