Greg… you need to use the FONT MANAGER from within PageStream to ADD these fonts to the PageStream FontsList. After adding them, if you want to have them available each time you load PAgeStream, be sure to UPDATE and SAVE DEFAULT.

Greg, Pagestream, which version? You have to install both the .AFM and the .PFB files of the font, go into SET/SAVE Paths under the GLOBAL menu item select Fontmanager, choose ADD, select the path to where the files are located and then save the defaults. Then they should show up in the font window. Chris

I understand the operations of the page stream font manager etc. I checked the directory. the afm files are there, but the pagestream fon manager doesnt "see" them. I have dir. opus. and verified their inclusion in the directory. they are the only two fonts that don't show up in the pagestream font manager. the p files show up but not the afm…. I think there is a bug in those particular files. bangle.lha a and baltha.lha. let me know what you find out.

Greg: if you put AFM files in a directory, and add the directory with the font manager, and they don't show up in the file list, then they are bad AFM files. There is some illegal operator in them or something wrong with them and PageStream will not use them. This is probably due to an incorrect Mac to PC conversion process. Michael SOft-Logik
