#A500 for sale!

HELP!
I need advice on an asking price for my Amiga 500. The computer is
three years old, but the motherboard was replaced last year. With the
computer I am selling the 501 memory+clock expanison unit, an external 3.5
drive, an AM-24 2400 baud Minimodem, an Impact Series II A500-HD+ (with two
megs of fast ram), and a 1084S monitor. (And of course, a joystick and
mouse). I would be eternally grateful to anyone who could provide me with
a good asking price. Of course, anyone interested in buying can make me an
offer as well!
Thanks,
Mark Allison
Mark,
I have a setup similar to yours, and if I was selling it (And I am NOT!!
<g>) I wouldn't ask for anything under $800.00. Sure the A500 retails for
less, but the Hard Drive and 1084s is a good reason to open at $800.00. Be
ready to haggle, but don't settle for much less! You might also want to
throw in a software bundle. The A500 is a precious little gem, which IMHO
has kept the Amiga alive all these years.

Thanks Angel, for your quick response. It seems you and Don differ a lot
in your prices ranges (yes, I will take bows on that brilliant
observation). Looks like I need some more info from others before I make a
decision.

p.s. I would agree with everything you said about the 500. Now if
commodore would only make more machines worth having….
Mark,
I wouldn't pay more than $500 for your setup…if I were in the
market for an A500.
Don
Don,
Thanks for your input. you wouldn't pay more than $500- and that
is probably a safe amount to ask from an experienced Amiga user. However,
I hope I can get a bit more. Any other suggestions, anyone?
