I've spoken to NEC tech support about getting just that cable-connector combo twice since August, Monet. Both times they told me that NEC had ordered the cables and that they should be ready shortly. Both times they took my name and address to send one along when ready–the first time NEC said the connectors would be proveded at no charge; the second time they said the question of prices was "under review." Meantime, I've heard zip from NEC. Someone on a thread not too long ago said that the mineature four-in power connector plug used for powering some hard disks fits the NEC audio out socket. I haven't tried that yet since I don't have a plug for the Creative Labs end. Please let me know if you find a source. Absent one I use an audio cable from the output jack on the front of the CDR-84 to the SBP's line in jack. Joe

Thanks, Joe. Amazing story…. wonder who was asleep at the switch when they designed the 84?
