I just got a new hard drive that I'm trying to mount on my Amiga 2000,
1.2 dos, IVS Trumpcard.
The physical installation has gone fine, but I think I have wrong
values in my mountlist because I'm getting weird results.
Does anyone know the cylinders, heads, tracks and all that fun stuff
for a Maxtor 7213SR drive?
Thanks.
The drive installation program (like HDToolbox) should be able to read that
info off the drive. If it can't it will complain.
I had a Maxtor 7080SR at one time, and it never worked properly on my
machine. It always had read/write and checksum errors. I believe that the
problem is that the Maxtor drive returns a whole bunch of SCSI information
that the current SCSI device drivers don't know how to handle. That same
drive has been running fine on a 386 clone for over a year now.
