Any ICD ADIde users out there? Please let me know what you think about the
product, and if anyone knows whether I can add a Mega Midget Racer
accellerator to it (its an Amiga 500.)
I have the ICD AdIDE /40 with a 105MG HD. There is a problem with
somesystem configurations. With my SupraRam500RX and WB2.04 you can not
do a warm reboot. ICD said I would need a new ROM. I have been waiting
since Feb/March 1992 (when WB2.04 was installed and my problem started)
for it to be designed. I would think hard about mixing ad-ons from
different vendors after my experience. I don't know about the Mega Midget
Racer but there may be a space problem. The IDE controller fits under the
CPU.

Gail, do you use the Shuffleboard also? And do you experience any problems
with copy protected games? (Stuff like Dos error messages)

i have installed a number of ADIDEs in A500s with IDE 2.5 inch drives.
Works fine. Forget the accelerator though if you plan to reassemble the
Amiga plastic cover ever again. Too tall for the cover to fit back on –
even the keyboard won't fit after both are installed. Stacks up too high
in the 68000 socket to get anything back together again.
What about ADSpeed? Too high still? And What is the best approach to RAM
exp ansion? I would like speed (SupraRam RX) but there appears to be an
ADIde up grade in the future to allow this, and is the expansion (501) slot
RAM accessable by 1 meg Agnus (such as ADRam 504, without problems,
especially to games??) ?
