To anyone interested in buying a Texel drive you might be interested to
know that the company CLAIMS that starting next week the drives that are
shipped will be "multi-session" drives (re Kodak compatibility). The
current drives are "single-session" drives that can be up upgraded for
$20.

Texel seemed intentionally vague on this issue. Most of the literature
I've seen indicates that you will probably have to send the drive in
for a hardware change. When I talked with a Texel salesperson she
suggested that they might be able to send you a chip and have you install
if yourself. So as far as I can tell it is more than just
updating a driver.
