#Firework – IPAS#4
6 messages in this thread
I've got a problem with the firewoks.axp from Yost Ipas Disk 4. The effect I
want to create is a kind of slow-motion-firework, but I'm not able to turn the
speed of the firework-expansion down. I tried to vary paramenters (like "HOLD"
or "END") but it does'nt really work. Any ideas would be great!
Karl
The speed of the fireworks expansion is controlled by the interval between
Start and Peak. (Hold and End are post-expansion aspects of the time
envelope.)

Thanks for your prompt answer. I tried this out, but it seems that I'm still
making something wrong. What I did was creating two identical objekts and
assigned firework to them.
The parameters of object one were: Start=0 and Peak=15
of object two: Start=0 and Peak=40
The number of particels varied from object one to two, but the expansion of the
volume stayed the same like this:
Object1: Frame5 Frame15 Frame25
……………….. ……………….. ………………..
. . . x x x x . . x x .
. . . xx x x x . . x x .
. xx x . . x x x . . x .
. xxx x . . x x . . x x .
. xxx . . x x x x x . . .
. . . x x x x . . x .
. . . x x x . . x .
……………….. ……………….. ………………..
Object2: Frame5 Frame15 Frame25
……………….. ……………….. ………………..
. . . x x . . x x x .
. . . . . x x x .
. x . . x . . x x x x .
. x x . . x x . . x x x .
. x . . x . . x x x .
. . . x x . . x x x x .
. . . x x . . x x .
……………….. ……………….. ………………..
I hope, you can realize my problem.
Thanks for help in advance!
Karl.
The time between start and peak should determine how long it takes to get from
0 particles to the maximum number of particles. If you want to actually scale
up the particle system during that period, you'll need to scale up the entire
boxed object.

Thanks!
I tried to solve the problem by variing the process-parameters and did not
think about
scaling the object! Thanks again for the good idea, that should do it!
Karl.
No problem (that's what I'm here for).
