First, our program buffers all keystrokes. Second, with most machines I've run it on, only a fast typist can really out-type PhoneDisc, and even then it is only by fractions of a second. Also, no matter how you "cut it", much of our information is obtained from white pages telephone books, which are typically going to be a few months old by the time they are published. Our commercial products, which have been reduced substantially in price from the $1,850 you quoted, take advantage of the fact that they include quarterly updates, and that telephone books are published all during the year. If you only want/need one update, than DAK can supply you with that. Also, they are selling PhoneDisc without drives now. DDA has also started to sell "direct" as of last week, if you want faster service. Regarding your use of a Mac (which I also favor), you may wish to use SoftPC as a DOS emulator, which should work OK.
