Is there a compressed file which has the file names and descriptions of all
the files in your libs.

I just began sysop-ing here a couple of months ago, and I don't know of
such a file. But it sounds like a good idea – one to put on the "TO DO"
list.

I used to spend alot of time on the Ashton-Tate (now Borland) Sig. In
their main library and all other librarys the had a file called files.zip
which was a zipped version of files.txt. The main library file was a text
file in the form of Library #1 General File Name When downloaded
Short description
Library #2 dBaseII File Name When downloaded Short description
etc., In each library was the same file but only containing that library's
files. At the end of the main library files was a listing of this month's
new uploads. At the end of the month they would be added to the regular
listings as the files.zip would be updated.
This really made things easier for us to decide what to download, though
when I last looked they had so many files in the main listing that even
that text file when zipped was about 300K!
On my other subject..thanks for the info, I'll download speed.txt and take
a look.
