I phoned to buy some CD-ROMs from CD-Xpress, namely the Desktop Library,
whoever answered the phone said that they only sold CD-ROMs, not desktops
!!

UNICA are the people for me in CD-ROM across Europe. They had them in
stock, answered politely and knowledgeably and despatched the same day.

By the way. I have heard that they guarantee to beat anyone on price on any
CD.
Hi, Desktop Library had been discontinued due to a minor problem. Bob Bruce
pulled it out of the market. There are some other compatible products. If
you are interested, request our catalog and you may see some title maybe

You're so right, Lance! I've bought CD-ROMs from Unica on several occasions
and they've always been great. Their prices are certainly lower than
Kimtech or Optech's and I will probably be calling them again real soon.
My biggest fear with Unica is that they sell their CDs so cheap that they
will go out of business because they aren't making enough margin. The MD at
Unica must be stupid to set his prices so low.

You would certainly get good dicounts if you buy from LANCE AT UNICA.
Really, Phil I did not think you would conspire with lance to deceive the
public, especially as you supply him with 'Danger Hot Stuff'.
You did not take the oportunity to plug your own CD, so I have done it for
you.

Cool off man, Lance I are just having some fun with you! Please consider
this all a practical joke, OK. Of course, I like Lance because he is
advertising our new Hot Stuff II CD-ROM like crazy. And you are right, I
don't have to buy CDs from Lance, he gives them to me for free!
Seriously though, what's your address so I can send you an evaluation copy
of Hot Stuff II. It is the finest collection of animated computer graphics
and Sound Blaster demos compiled to date. I think you'll like it!

I just phoned Unica at the number you supplied and asked who was Mr.
Lance Davis, she kindly informed me that he is the Managing Director of
UNICA. The very same person who has been singing praises of Unica on
various BBSs and here on CompuServe, posed as a very satisfied customer of
Unica.
I was surprised at you intelligence level and very saddend to discover,
that your company (Unica) is finding it so hard to get customers, that you
the MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE COMPANY have to stoop to such levels to drum
up business. Happily business is booming at CD-Xpress despite your stupid
antics.
This just confirms to me that I did the right thing by starting CD-Xpress
to confront unscruplous people like you, who have been screwing the general
public for so long.

Do you know Ismail Arslangiray? You two should get together and form
"PARANOIDS R US" if you started selling CD's to confront unscrupulous
people then you probably won't have much time to sell CD's Get A Life.

Isn't this sort of thing – i.e. one person who runs a company claiming to
be a totally different and "satisfied" customer sort of unscrupulous? At
the very least, it sounds deceptive and shady….
