Certain verions of Novell's TCP/IP would mess with the high bits of
the 32 bit registars. I don't know if this is your problem but you
might want to check and make sure that you have the lastest 3.11
drivers.
Thanks for the input, FYI, we found we had a conflict with our Novell v3.11
IPX.COM base memory I/O set at 360h. We changed it to 320h and all was better.
It is hard to say what caused the conflict, the system was working fine then we
installed 3ds3 and presto, the problem with the crash exit. My best guess is
the culprit is the vibrant driver for the Viper VLB card using that memory
address.
