That's correct. In the same way that a backup performed by Norton
Bckup is not readable by Central Point backup. 'TapeDisk' is a clever
bit of SOFTWARE that tricks DOS into thinking the Tape Drive is a DOS
volume. I have my Exabyte 8500 sset up as a 5 Gig Q: drive. The
software needs to partition the tape, so that it can store directory
structures etc.. separetly from the files. Unless TapeDisk is
intalled on "the other" computer, your files will be indecipherable.
– On the bright side its only c. $250..and for the 3D world, thats a
bargain!!
