First of all thanks to all who responded to my previous questions on file
conversion between dos and amiga. I managed to downoad something that will
help!!!
Of course, I now have more questions. Im in an amiga graphics class at Columbia
College in Chicago. (If there are any amiga artists at Columbia who browse here
PLEASE RESPOND!) The final project in the class is a 300 frame animation. What
I want is to download some Amiga animation(s) that I can bring to class and
demonstrate. I am having a hard time locating amiga animations in this forum.
Am I looking in the wrong place, or by incorrect methods? Steer me in the right
direction and I will be very gratefull.
Also, I would like to learn as much about Video Toaster as possible, can you
help?

The reason you don't see many anims is because of their sheer size.
If you're willing to pay for it, I could upload a few anims, but the
smallest is 3MB…….
There _are_ a few anims up here though. The 'Amy the squirrel' or
'Aerotoons' series are great examples of using 2-D animation.

Thanks for the quick response! I have a PC clone at home, which I use to access
CompuServe, I am willing to download a 3 meg animation, but how the hell would
I get it on to disk to take to school? If you have a method, then I will do it,
but I sure cant fit 3 meg onto a disk. Is there a way to break up the file to
multiple disks?
In the meantime I will try 'Amy the Squirrel', and 'Aerotoons' if I can find
them!
Also I would like to learn as much about Toaster as possible, do you have any
suggestion for reading material?
you should be able to find some of the 'Aerotoons' or 'Amy the Squirrel'
animations here on CIS. (The creator's name is Eric Schwartz, so you might
want to 'GO AMIGAFF' and search for 'SCHWARTZ','ANIM','AMY', and/or
'AEROTOONS' (sp?))
I'll see if I can't find something to render that's fairly small. Do you
have an AGA machine? High Density Amiga Floppy drives?
As for Toaster stuff, all I read is VTU, and other video industry mags. I
just checked out Lee Stranahan's tape on LW Modeler 2.0 (the old one), and
it seemed very thorough in its coverage of all the features in the
Modeler. (My only gripe is that it was very basic, and took 90 minutes –
but hey, I've been using it for 2-3 yrs now. :^)

Use MRBackup, which is a hard-drive backup program. It will split
files up so that they fit on multiple disks, during a backup
procedure. At school, you can run the restore procedure and MRBackup
will piece the file together again. Nick

could get the rest of his work online!
