I entered this thread a month late..but still.
Interchange plus is gloriously impressive product.
I don't consider it shady.
However, when abused it can aid piracy!
Many companies make 3D models for different platforms.
They charge separate fees for their LIGHTWAVE, IMAGINE and 3DS versions.
Interchange Plus COULD be used to "pirate" these models across to other
platforms.
You can't come back and say that they're not optimized models..because many of
these model building companies use ICP to do the conversions and then tweak
them. So..the bottom line is ANY utility product can be ABUSED.
The fault is not with you, the product creator but with the morality of the
customer.
