Is it appropriate to enter a hardware wish?
An idea which went by in the continuing discussion on HW locks was for a
serialized lock that could work for 3DS and IPAS routines. Even
though this would obviously require a costly change over initially it would
make both developers and users happy. If plug ins are the
shape of the future for 3DS can you imagine where we will be a few years from
now without some solution other that locks? Twenty locks?
Thirty locks?

Currently an IPAS4 routine could query the serial-number of the 3ds.exe and
lock to it. However, I haven't seen the new routines use this feature yet.
