I want to buy a copy of animator or animator PRO, what's the
difference both in price and functionality? Can I buy from
yourselves, and if so how much? If not who do you recommend, which
version numbers should I be looking out for? We use COREL draw a
lot, will I have any problems putting together presentations using
COREL show by importing animations *.FLI into the "show" ?
Autodesk Animator is the original, low resolution animation program,
and Autodesk Animator Pro is its high-resolution cousin. Animator is
now sold in a bundled package called "Multimedia Explorer." Although
you can still find copies of the original Animator around, Explorer
is usually a better deal, even with the discounts you might find on
the original Animator. The Explorer includes a CD-ROM of clip art and
stuff. Either of these packages are sold through retail outlets.
Animator Pro (or Anipro) is sold only through multimedia dealers. You can get
the number of the dealer nearest you by calling 800/879-4233. AniPro is
resolution-independant and requires a 386 or better. It's got a lot of extra
stuff, but you'd be best talking to your dealer about what all the extras are.
As far as its use with Corel, perhaps someone else on the forum can jump in on
that. I don't really use Corel that much anymore.
