#PC0: gone!?

Does anyone know whether MagicWorkbench screws up detection of PC0:? If
so, what do you do about it?

Exactly what sort of detection do you mean?
I just started Crossdos, and inserted a PC disk, and the icon cam up for
both pc0 and df0.

I installed MagicWB and when I insert an MS-DOS disk I don't get a PC0
icon. This happens only if the disk is NOT formatted. However the PC0:
icon is in DEVS:DOSDrivers and has Active set to 1. CrossDOS does come up
when I request it. I just don't get an icon for an unformatted disk.

Clark,
go to your workbench devs/dosdrivers drawer, select information from
the workbench menu. Once there, delete the line with the authors name.
It seems to screw up the mounting. Also check to make sure you have the
ACTIVATE=1 and UNIT=0 tools there.
You might consider doing the same for any other devices in the drawer.

Thank you for responding. I've done that already and it hasn't seemed to
work. But I'll listen to any other suggestions!

Clark,
you might try blowing the NickPrefs Floppy prefs off the harddrive and
from ram: You'll find the one copy of floppy prefs in env:sys and the
other in envarc:sys. Kill both and reboot.
