WORD OUT THAT ANI-PRO DOESN'T RUN IN WINDOWS?? i DON'T know what the previous
messages were about, but theres a lot they know and dont broadcast, and theres
a hell-of-a-lot about their own product they should know but dont and are
usually too lazy to find out– and you know, I really am too drunk… this will
backfire on me and I'll get no usefull help — as if that mattered!! Oh boy
I've fucked myself now if the "experts" are listening — but hey — havent you

My apologies for that bizarre message — it was not from me. My brother was
visiting and accessed compuserve while I was asleep.
Stephen,

Sorry about that twisted message — someone else actually did it, using my
computer (automatic cserve password) while I was asleep. But he's now gone back
to the city where he lives.
Stephen, I think part of your frustration comes from trying to work out the
-MAXREAL statement. I hope that you channel it more constructively next time.
Does AAPro work under Windows? We advertise that AAPro 1.3 does. I am
able to get it to run under Windows myself. This is because AAPro 1.3
uses a revision of the Phar Lap software which recognizes the type of
memory provided by Windows to DOS apps.
Confusion exists because AAPro takes a long time to load under
Windows. Prior to the shipping build, AAPro loaded properly under
Windows. The shipping build takes several minutes to load, and in fact
greets you with a message that there is not enough memory to run the app.
If you hit <enter> twice, AAPro generally starts up. At that point, you can
move in
and out of your applications.
Depending on your memory configuration and the graphics card, AAPro may
not have access to high res modes you're used to seeing when running in
DOS. I generally don't run higher than 640×480 so that's not a problem
for me. Sometimes when I switch back to the AAPro screen it needs a
redraw to clear the screen.
This was written up as a bug and is being fixed.
Let us know specifically what your complaints are and we'll try to rectify
them.
